Ann Vandervelde is an abstract painter currently living in Seattle and Lopez Island.
She maps the earth on canvas in an attempt to answer questions about the importance of green and urban space, climate, sound, structure, light and water and our own not insignificant footprint. Her paintings will showcase impressions of the northwest.
In April, 2014 Ann had a collaborative exhibition on Orcas Island at the Orcas Center with glass artist, Lin McJunkin, and writer/poet Ann McDuffie. June, 2014 she has a two-person exhibition at I|M|A Gallery in Seattle.
