I lived as a textile artist in the 1970's and 1980's, and have recently returned to these roots. I've always been attracted to natural fibers of linen, cotton, wool and silk. Over the years I've amassed a large collection of vintage Japanese materials to work with - beautiful vintage kimono silks, hand-dyed yukata cottons and linens, boro cottons, and vintage silk obi belts - for use to re-purpose into unique one of a kind textiles. I have visited Japan, met some of the artists still working in the genre, and amass a vast array of beautiful textiles to rework into lovely table runners, wall hangings, pillows, handbags and art-to-wear garments. I hope you will share my excitement whenever you explore my collection and see what I have made new again.
