Textile: Clothing and home decor

I worked as a textile artist in the 1970's-1980's, and after retirement from 20 years as a CPA, I have returned to these roots. I've always been attracted to dying fabrics and to natural fibers of linen, cotton, wool and silk. Over the years I amassed a vast collection of vintage Japanese textiles to work with - beautiful kimono silks, hand-dyed yukata cottons and linens, boro cottons, and silk obi belts. I re-purpose these into unique one of a kind textiles and wearable art. I have visited Japan, met artists currently working in the genre, and amassed an array of gorgeous textiles to rework into table runners, wall hangings, pillows, handbags and art-to-wear garments. I hope you will explore my collection and see what I have taken old and made new again.
